Decagon Plus
A 10 sided house plus 6 parts of another decagon (as an attached greenhouse) equals AMAZING!
A structure with 10 sides has many faces to present, so I had to take more pictures than usual. Click on the first picture and check out the freeform window to the left of the front door. The house strikes a stunning balance between its distinctive look and blending with its surroundings.
Working our way around the building, the greenhouse, with its polycarbonate roof, takes center stage. The many windows blur the boundary between inside and out, letting light and garden have prominence within.
Note the use of live edges (the uncut, natural edge of a piece of wood) in the siding. The owners have blended the unconventional shape and the organic materials into something truly their own. The inside is wood, wood and more wood, and I may post some interior shots later.
